    About TMP Guide

    The story behind this project

Hello! My name is Peyton. I am a part-time music producer and a full-time AI engineer. My wife, Calah, and I write and produce music independently for our two projects: eightFour and Calah Mikal.

    Listen to Our Music

I build AI tools for a living, and I would be lying if I told you it doesn't scare me to wonder what our world will look like in five years.

Even now, AI seems to be wedging its way into the music world—even writing and producing full albums. How can humans compete with models designed to regurgitate all of human knowledge and creativity?

Yet I'm reminded of what makes human creations unique: we have the exceptional ability to cobble together beauty from our imperfections and shortcomings to build something truly original.

As a recovering perfectionist, I've wrestled with my internal critic, which can only see what I've created for what it isn't. My music or this website will never be "just right."

But perhaps in the age of AI, our imperfections are the feature, not the bug. They're a fingerprint of authenticity, distinguishing us from the machines. As a Christian, my whole worldview is predicated on the belief that redemption can be brought through the most flawed people and circumstances.

    Why TMP Guide?

Guitar is my first instrument, and I've been fortunate to play or own just about every major guitar modeling pedal (QC, Helix, etc.). When I first plugged into the Fender Tone Master Pro, I was struck by how intuitive it was to use—and how quickly you can dial in record-ready tones. My hope is that the TMP Guide will help you leverage two extremely powerful tools—AI and the Tone Master Pro—to embrace your own unique, yet imperfect sound. I hope you spend less time aimlessly tweaking and debugging (unless that's your thing) and more time being inspired do what humans were designed to do: create.
